This is a 7,500 SF regional headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona. Of course, not every company has the budget to make their office this tricked out, but there are insights and practicality that most office users can still apply. Here are just a few:
- The employee leash to the desk has been severed for good. They want other work modes besides a desk, but still within the office so they can produce results. Several work modes, including casual seating, are actually what they demand.
- Changing out some furniture, fixtures, and artwork can be a lot less expensive than spending $100/SF to rebuild the entire office.
- The traditional break room died. From its ashes rose the café. People will actually hang out in a well-designed café where they can share ideas and bond with their colleagues.
