Potential investors call us all the time looking for opportunities to buy in Commercial Real Estate. The conversations go something like this: “Hey Craig, I have $xyz million to invest in Phoenix, what do you have for me?”
After hearing this conversation over and over (and not selling to these non-performing buyers), we started screening our potential clients based on our culture and core principals. To make sure our thinking is concrete, I put together a simple graphic for our team to help us decide if we want to work with these potential investors. We are sharing it with you today.
We have 5 specific criteria and having verified money is only one part of the qualifications. Building relationships with solid people is a key driver of our approach to business. We have no interest in chasing a transaction. For us, relationships matter more than deals.
